Summer Garden at Wild Roots Village is a sweet and simple celebration of childhood, summertime, and outdoor play. In this small-group program (just six children per day), kids will spend their days exploring, creating, and connecting with nature.
With plenty of time for unstructured play, children will build forts, splash in the acequia, create with mud pies and build with natural materials, and wander on gentle nature walks. Water play offers a chance to cool off, laugh, and work together while exploring the wonders of the natural world.
Creative activities like watercolor painting, play dough, and finger knitting offer peaceful moments of hands-on fun, while storytelling invites imagination and wonder. The children will also help to garden and tend the land as it transform over the summer and into the Autumn season. Inspired by Waldorf rhythms and a love of outdoor play, Summer Garden is a place for making friends, discovering new joys, and soaking up the best parts of summer.
